Here Today, Gone To…
“The more grateful I am, the more beauty I see.”
– Mary Davis
Aloha!
I hope 2019 is off to a great start for you! I am so grateful to have been able to spend a week in Maui…relaxing, swimming, snorkeling, sightseeing and much eating, of course. I had never been to the island before but was wowed at first sight. I went with my friend, Alison, and then my friend, Nina, came over from the Big Island to join us for a few days.
Here are some snaps from our adventures:
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, by brother, George, his wife, Donna, and their eldest daughter, Laura, were on Sadie-duty.
Sadie injured her shoulder very badly in mid-January (in a big bark-off with dogs on the other side of a fence) and underwent “platelet replacement therapy” three days before I left for Maui. So no kennel for her! Thank goodness my family was able to care for her while I was away. Unfortunately, Sadie is still in pretty rough shape 🙁
We have now left Okotoks, AB and are heading back to Vancouver Island…very slowly!

Oh dear Sadie! I hope she heals well, even if slowly. Give her a scritch for me.
Can she get in and out of your car without hurting herself (or you)? She’s so lucky to have you for a Mom.
Would welcome a visit when you get back to the Island. Safe travels.
Hugs to you both,
Pamela
Wishing Sadie a speedy recovery.
I wish Sadie a speedy recovery. I was in Maui a no. of years ago in Jan. and remember the whales out in the ocean. I stayed at a timeshare, a pink one which you might have noticed if staying close by at Kaanapali Beach.
Oh very nice! We did drive up to Kaanapali area one day and I think I saw the pink hotel. I loved seeing the whales, especially at sunset!
Hope you are well 🙂

Thank you!

Hi Pamela! We are in pretty good shape with a system of getting her in and out of the car. Plus she got a new harness that is a huge help…it has 2 handles on it. I can’t wait to walk with you at Island View again…am hoping Sadie will be able to join us for a short walk in the next month or so!
Take care,
MA
Oh wow, these photos are stunning and what terrific sunsets! The only problem is that I now really want to go on holiday and be somewhere hot and sunny! Waaaaaaah!

Yes…a blast of warmth & sunshine & splashing about in the sea in the middle of winter is VERY much appreciated. I felt like a cat soaking up the sun 🙂
