Do You Have a Favourite St. Paddy’s Day Memory?

One that comes to mind for me goes back a coupla decades 🙂

A year or two before John passed away (so 1998/99), we walked to our nearest pub for green beer & wings on a snowy St. Patrick’s Day evening. We sat for a couple of hours, drinking beer and chatting.

Then, before walking back home, we stopped at the 7-Eleven (“The Sev”) and, for some odd reason, bought a bunch of candy – the kind we used to buy as kids – and ate that all the way home.

I don’t remember what we talked about that night. I just remember the feeling I had…I was so happy. I loved just hanging out with him…just the two of us talking about life. That’s what I missed the most after he died. It’s the little things, isn’t it, that often end up meaning the most?

This St. Patrick's Day, may your heart be open to the blessings in your life...and may your beer be green 🙂 Click To Tweet

Here’s another fun memory…this is me & Soda Pope in our 2012 St. Paddy’s Day photo shoot:
