 LOVE THIS CHRISTMAS PRESENT!!!

As a workplace safety advocate, this is pretty much the best gift a gal could get! Here is the feedback from a person who recently heard our John Petropoulos Memorial Fund workplace safety presentation:

“I am following up on the presentations given to our company by Jody and Lindsay. The presentations were excellent in content and the presenters very knowledgeable and well spoken. I have been involved in safety for 18 years and 9 years as a Manager. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I never thought of the Health and Safety of emergency response workers who may have to enter our property. What the presentation did for our organization is bring an awareness for the safety of emergency workers who may respond at our facilities.

We will be in discussions in the new year to review the following areas as a result of the presentation:

1. All of our Branches will contact their local fire and police departments and invite them to our facilities so they can  review them and the activities we conduct on a day to day basis.

2. We will install motion sensor lighting in strategic areas to provide lighting for Police/EMS/Fire who may have to enter after hours.

3. We have always been diligent in keep our access/egress areas clear but we will have the discussion at our monthly safety meetings at all 4 Branches.

4. We will ensure that all hazards that pose high risk to Police/EMS/Fire are shared with them. As well, we will ensure that all hazards are eliminated at the end of the day. We currently do a very good job of housekeeping at the end of the day but the awareness brought forth by the presentation just reinforces the importance of basic housekeeping practices.

Thanks again to JPMF for bringing forth the health and safety of our emergency response personnel. Their professional services and commitment often goes unnoticed.”

HOORAY FOR THE JPMF!!! Thank you, Lindsey, Jody, Sarah and Ian, for all you do to raise awareness about the public’s role in helping keep emergency responders safe 🙂
