Wake Up to Your Dreams

Transforming Passion into Pay Cheques

If you are in or near Victoria, BC, on Tue Sept 14th, please join guest speaker, Maryanne Pope, at this e-Women accelerated networking event!

On Thursday September 28th, 2000, Maryanne Pope had an argument with her husband, John. She was scared of waking up twenty years later and still not have finished writing a book. John looked her and said, “You’re probably right… it will have been your choice.”  The next day John died of a brain injury. Maryanne had a wake-up call.  Two weeks later she started writing what would become her first book, A Widow’s Awakening. Ten years later, she is an author, executive producer, has her own production company and is the Board Chair of the John Petropoulos Memorial Fund.

What you’ll take away from this powerful session:

  • A powerful example of the importance of waking up to one’s dreams
  • Tangible tips on how to transform passions into pay cheques
  • Ten tough questions to ask yourself about the financial health of your business – and you
  • Suggestions on how to improve your company’s financial health in the next 30 days

Maryanne Pope, Author of the book A Widow’s Awakening, Maryanne is also an award-winning playwright, film producer, workplace safety advocate, environmental educator and inspirational speaker. A storyteller at heart, she also writes short stories, children’s stories, articles and screenplays. Maryanne is the founder and CEO of Pink Gazelle Productions Inc. and board chair of the John Petropoulos Memorial Fund.

It is my hope to encourage others to awaken to what’s important in their own lives and the world around them…and if something needs changing – be that on an individual, societal, entrepreneurial,  environmental or political level – to do it. – Maryanne
